First, you should know who started it all. Rick and Rob are the founders of Kirbor Homes. Notice anything with the name there? In case you missed it, Kirbor does stand for Rob and Rick backward, without the C in Rick. 

Rick and Rob had a vision as new home builders. They believed, and still believe, in providing customer service that exceeds expectations. These are more than just ideals for them as home builders. In fact, they are the foundation of Kirbor Homes’ corporate philosophy that they put into action every day. At Kirbor Homes, customers form the cornerstone of everything they do. By listening carefully, providing creative, insightful, and constructive feedback, in addition to building your home in a timely and professional manner, Kirbor Homes builds homes that are as stylish as they are life-enhancing.

Rick is one of a select group of only 2,000 Professional Builders nationwide who have earned the Certified Graduate Builder (CGB) designation, identifying him as one of the Building Industry’s top professionals. In 2010, he also earned the Certified Green Professional, which recognizes building professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes— without driving up the cost of construction. Rick gained his experience working for a national home builder in the Northern Virginia area where his concentration focused on estate home building. Rick brings that experience to bear when it comes to using innovative building techniques and products, as well as adhering to deadlines. The success of his firm is based on complementary skills that come together in the delivery of a home, and a shared vision of the process and results. At the same time, he is passionate about the team getting to know all the customers, and working closely with them to deliver results.

Rob is a recognized leader in Land Acquisition and Community Development, Rob Wadsworth is known for his business acumen and forward-thinking vision. He brings a unique blend of nearly 34 years of Land Acquisition and Development experience along with a strong background in Financial skills to the Kirbor Homes organization. He is no stranger to complex financial transactions involving multiple banks and joint venture opportunities. He is much more than just an owner of Kirbor Homes, working closely with Rick and the staff, he helps shape and mold the land acquisitions and strategic partnerships of the company. His leadership in community development has helped grow the organization to where we are today and with additional expansion planned. A Virginia Beach, Virginia native, and graduate of Virginia Tech, Rob still resides in the area where he grew up.
